The Scourging

Mark 15:15, Isaiah 53:5

Jesus – bound to the whipping post, mercilessly beaten, blood streaming from countless wounds.

Do we hear Him say:

Look at Me, My back scourged and torn, My body disfigured. The sight would move a stone to tears. What terrible suffering was necessary to save human beings from their sin!

Does not the sight of Me at the whipping post fill you with revulsion for the sins committed in the body: lust, greed, violence?

In My wounds there is healing and redemption for all who truly repent. You can choose to come to Me for forgiveness – and for all eternity reflect My glory.
